The Commission has pulled the election forward

Independent Elections and Limitations Commission in Kenya (IEBC), has changed the date for a replacement election and that instead of October 17 will now be held on October 26.
Earlier, the High Court in Kenya under Judge David Maraga to dissolve the results of the presidential election that won President Uhuru Kenyatta's election scheduled for October 17, 60 days after the decision

 
Through the statement of the IEBC Commissioner's Chair, Wafula Chebukati has stated that the decision has been made to give the IEBC time to prepare more and especially in terms of technology.
"Obviously, the abolition of elections will bring about the effect and especially on the technology that will be used.
In order to ensure that the commission is preparing to provide the required standards by the Supreme Court, we would like to inform the public and all stakeholders that the new election will take place on Thursday, October 26. "
The commission also said it would comply with the Supreme Court's orders on repetition.
The Supreme Court in this case dismissed the results of the Presidential election that gave President Kenyatta victory over the second semester, the results were deleted on September 1 this year.
