Chairman of Chadema, Freeman Mbowe said the medical costs of the Singida East MP MP, Tundu Lissu, were reported at Kenya's Nairobi Hospital, reaching Sh412.7 million.
Lissu, a lawyer of the party, was lying in hospital since September 7 when he was attacked and shot by unknown creatures at his home area in D Downtown Dodoma.
Mbowe speaking to journalists today on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania said the cost was great, but he urged Tanzanians to continue contributing so that they see the Lissu's return to the road.
"We are very grateful to Lissu's family, he has had a position like Lissu himself. We have worked with the family and we will continue working with the family. When we go to third-party treatment, we will leave the family the first speaker, the patient can speak and realize, "she said.
Regarding donations, Mbowe said Chadema MPs are young Sh48.4 million.
He said the people contributed Sh24.2 million through the call of the Member of Tarime Urban (Chadema) Member, Esther Matiko.
"Various people including Chadema's youth at Sh90 million through an account opened at the CRDB Bank," he said.
Mabowe has said all MPs in Chadema are young Sh43 million and that Tanzanians are outdated through Go Funds $ 29,000.
Chadema's leader thanked Mange Kimambi for doing a great job of promoting contributions.
Mbowe said traders were mobilized by the Arusha MP (Chadema), Godbless Lema's investing at 18,000 dollars.
He said he has a whole list of all contributors and has asked the Tanzanians to continue to praying for Lissu.
