Nkamia Removes the Conscientious Objection Bill To Increase the Legislature of Parliament

CCM MP, Juma Nkamia, has temporarily withdrawn his appeal to submit a personal bill to amend the Constitution of the country to increase legislative unlimited.

Nkamia presented the case in September, this year in Dodoma, in accordance with section 81 (2) of the Constitution of 2016, through its letter on September 12, this year which was proposing to increase the term of Parliament from five to seven years and to reduce the term of village leadership from five to four years.

Through a brief message posted on the WhatsApp social network, Nkamia said he decided to remove the outcome after negotiations and instructions from the top of the Revolutionary Party (CCM).

"Dear colleagues, I beg you to inform that after consultation with the directives of the CCM leaders and the political situation in several East African countries, I have to eliminate my own permanent parliamentary dispute that I intend to submit to the next parliament (which begins in November, this year, "wrote Nkamia.

Nkamia's argument came from the previous Parliament but was opposed by senior politicians including the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, Pius Msekwa and various scholars.

Speaking to the Azam Television Center, Thursday this week, Msekwa said the CCM could not agree with the comments of the extension of any leader from the current five-year period in accordance with the current Constitution.

He also said in his parliamentary experience that there are many surveys made before the National Decision to determine the period of governance for five years and not otherwise.

And the lecturer of the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM), Dr. Benson Bana, argued that Nkamia's goal was to brag it to President Dk. John Magufuli to give him a minister.

Also on September 18, this year, the Rural Tarime MP (Chadema), John Heche, intends to submit a private motion to parliament to reduce the termination of officials from five years to four years as the United States to provide more citizenship their country.
