Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has met with the National Electoral Commission chairman (IEBC) while the controversial repetitive election continues to close.
The President met Mr Wafula Chebukati at Mr Kenyatta's office in the Harambee House, Nairobi.
The chairperson of the commission had met opposition critic Mr Raila Odinga on Friday.
Mr Odinga resigned from the polls on Thursday saying he did not believe the election would be free and fair.
The October 26 election is being prepared after the High Court dissolved the first election held on 8 August saying there were many defects.
Mr. Chebukati last week had called for a meeting of all presidential candidates but later postponed it and later met Mr Odinga for himself.
A report from the palace said President Kenyatta told the chairman that he was ready for the repatriation and did not have any provisions for the commission.
According to the statement, Deputy President William Ruto also attended the conference.
"We have made it clear that we have no terms and conditions for this matter, we have donated funds to the IEBC to do its work, and now they have to do the work," said President Kenyatta.
"We only insist that the elections take place on October 26, which is the time set by the IEBC in accordance with the demands attached to the dissolution of the election of 8 August."Odinga: There will be no elections on Kenya 26 October
The Supreme Court, in its decision, ordered the new election to be held in accordance with the constitution and the law in full 60 days.
The IEBC had previously announced a new election to be held on October 17 but later postponed the date until October 26 after one of the companies offering key services for the election would not have been ready at that time.
Mr Odinga has been calling on the IEBC to postpone the election and has announced that the date "no election" will be.
There has been controversy over the preparation of the polls, especially after the resignation of one of Commissioner's commissioners, Dr Roselyn Akombe last week.
