The judge asked the President to come to court to answer the case against him

Judge of the High Court has ordered the former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan to be sentenced to court on a criminal case against his former spokesman for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The trial of a court is astonishing and will be closely monitored due to the fact that Jonathan has been mentioned in many cases of corruption although he has never been called and officially questioned.

The matter if he or she will arrive in court or will depend on whether and when he will be sent to court documents.

Jonathan's spokeswoman Olisa Metuh faces a case of allegedly acquiring $ 1.1 million in Maraka from Jonathan Sati Dasuki's safety consultant.

In his defense, the spokeswoman said he had received the money from Jonathan's instructions to pay for his protest campaign in 2015.

On Monday, Metuh's lawyers said they intend to call the former president as a witness.

Judge of the Federal High Court Abang Okon who responds to the suggestion said that it would be "similar to his violation of justice if he did not sign a court order".

"I have no other choice than signing a court order to compel the president former Goodluck Jonathan came to court yesterday, October 25, 2017, to give his testimony, "he added.
